International Organization for Standardization. Journal of Diabetes Science and Technology 1-9. User Performance Evaluation and System Accuracy Assessment of Four Blood Glucose Monitoring Systems With Color Coding of Measurement Results. Study personnel observed user techniques.ġ. § User performance evaluation included data from 100 participants as required according to ISO 15197:2013, each of whom used every system with one reagent lot. † An ad hoc analysis demonstrated that 95% of the results were within the error range ☐.3 mmol/L or ±5.3% of the laboratory reference values (Hexokinase (HK)-based method (Cobas Integra 400 Plus Roche Instrument Center, Rotkreuz, Switzerland). *† Always consult your healthcare provider prior to making changes to your target ranges. The app also can’t instruct the meter to power down when it has completed syncing. The inactivity timer on the meter doesn’t seem to be unaware that the app is actively reading data from it and beeps anyway. ** Before use please see the CONTOUR ®NEXT user guide for full instructions. By default, the Contour Next One beeps loudly if you leave it turned on for more than a few seconds to remind you to turn it off. * Minimum accuracy requirements of ISO15197: 2013 Section 6.3 standard require ≥95% of the measured values to fall within ☐.83 mmol/L at glucose concentrations <5.5 mmol/L or within ☑5% at glucose concentrations ≥5.5 mmol/L compared to the reference method. If you suspect a battery has been swallowed or placed inside any part of the body, seek medical attention immediately and contact the Australian Poisons Information Centre for 24/7, fast expert advice at 131 126. If swallowed or placed inside any part of the body they can cause severe or fatal injuries in 2 hours or less. Strips are also smaller for the Contour Next USB.īoth have pros and cons, but the ability to see my data on a graph immiediately, on my phone, means the contour next usb is now my backup meter.WARNING: Batteries are hazardous and must be kept away from children. Since I can’t afford a CGM this is the next best thing, for me. Seeing numbers only, I obsess about the last reading and feel bad when it’s not what I had hoped for. I like seeing the data in graph form instantly, without having the hassle of connecting to my computer. ![]() BUT it connects to an app on my phone with Bluetooth. It’s a little bigger and harder to hide this meter in my hand. ![]() Just got a free Accu-Chek connect in the mail. Holds 2000 readings, I can vary the data I am looking at from one week to all readings, or change the date range to anything in between. But the software is great once it finally loads. Upload data from your insulin pump, CGM, or blood glucose. Say goodbye to multiple applications and multiple logins say hello to Tidepool Uploader. ![]() I have a mac, the software for the Contour Next USB has some hiccups before taking a long time to load on my computer whenever I connect the USB meter to it.
